Departing from the Edinburgh area and touring southwards to Rosslyn chapel, world renowned for its awesome architectural features, so curious that they give rise to supposed connections with the Crusaders as explored in Dan Brown's seminal work, The Da Vinci Code. Onward to explore the imposing Craigmillar Castle and Gardens, a secret rural retreat for Royals and political figures of the past from their nearby Edinburgh power base. Lunch can be enjoyed at the traditional Tweeddale Arms Hotel in nearby Gifford followed by an afternoon of discovery and whisky tasting at the charming Glenkinchie distillery. Returning via a scenic countryside drive to your Edinburgh accommodation and the conclusion of your tour.
